Having met whilst working together in Brighton, UK — famous for its starling murmurations — our directors established Starling Research to use the things we are good at in support of the work we care about. We host a range of thematic expertise, professional experience and technical skill which makes us great at what we do: understanding the world in order to make your work stronger. 

We are experts in social research, monitoring, evaluation and learning, particularly in international contexts. We thrive designing and delivering collaborative and participatory work, and we pride ourselves on taking an agile approach to project delivery.

Our core team is composed of our founding partners, but we see ourselves as bigger than that. Where a project needs expertise that we don’t have, particularly local or context-specific knowledge, we call on the associates in our wide pool of contacts, meaning we can always provide what you need while ensuring respect for the communities with whom we work.
